Hi Laura! We don't have a direct subscription to The Economist, but I just skimmed the archives of the EZproxy list for this issue. I'm afraid that it came up there back in late October and the thread ceased without a clear resolution.

The last post indicated that The Economist had confirmed that IP access was failing for anyone using Firefox, and they recommended using only Chrome or IE/"Microsoft Edge". That last poster (Jeanne Hebard, Babson College) also said that The Economist had made no changes to the EZproxy stanza as of that date, but they recommended using the URL http://economist.com. (Babson had been using http://www.economist.com/siteID.) Jeanne said that changing the URL hadn't improved anything for them, but she'd post to the EZproxy list if they came up with a solution.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Hello

We purchased campus-wide access to The Economist but we are having issues with off-campus access.  We have hosted EZproxy and while we can log in via the proxy, for some reason it keeps losing the “connection”.  So we keep getting the “you have reached your article limit” message.  I have sent Economist the OCLC stanza.  If you have campus-wide access, did you run into trouble with off-campus access and if so, were you able to fix it.
