We do the same thing you do. Don’t consider it if it’s the primary word, but consider it if it’s part of the rest of the title.

Subject: [SERIALST] Words like the, of, and for in titles
Hello,
How does everyone handle words like the, of, and for when shelving journals?
When a journal starts with "the," we ignore that. When the words "the," "of," or "for" appear within a title, they are considered for shelving purposes.
Still, people struggle to find some journals like Journal of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing which comes after
Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
I was curious if there was a best practice.
