Dear Colleagues,

Absolute Backorder Service, Inc. is ceasing all operations by year end. After more than 22 years of supplying libraries, vendors and individuals with print journal back volumes and issues, it’s time to close. It has been a privilege to assist our clients with their collection development requirements. Absolute has re-invented itself several times by developing a multitude of new services which included disaster recovery programs, archiving, preservation and supplying comprehensive backfiles for digitization initiatives.

Contributions/shipments to Absolute’s East Coast Exchange Program will conclude August 31st. However, we will continue to fulfill all stock orders for the foreseeable future. Our business model is unable to sustain the reduced demand for print journals. Our sincere thanks go out to all our library clients for their support throughout the years. We have developed many friendships and amicable business relationships around the world. I am optimistic that my experience will translate into new opportunities for future endeavors.
