Hello, Tze Guek --
It’s still a job to be done for me, too. Are you familiar with the ezPAARSE and ezMESURE projects which are a collaboration between COUPERIN
consortium members in France. I think some publishers are also involved. Thomas Porquet (copied, and more info here:
https://www.projectcounter.org/about/technical-advisory-group/) posted the following message on the EZproxy mailing list a couple of years back about the demonstration tool to produce
COUNTER-like usage data [caveat: We strongly recommend not using it in production or with large logs.]
______
Hello all,
ezPAARSE is a free and
open-source software that can ingest and analyse your (proxy) log files and show how users access subscribed electronic resources.
Don't hesitate to give it a try with our shared instance on
http://ezpaarse.couperin.org before installing a local instance.
Send us feedback or ask for help if your log format is not recognized.
Best regards,
Thomas for the ezPAARSE team

In the UK another project was completed a few years back to analyse EZproxy, OpenAthens and Shibboleth logs, see Raptor:

Subject: [SERIALST] Experience using EzProxy logs and Pub stats to analyse usage
Good day everyone,
I am interested to know if anyone has experience to share on using both EzProxy logs and Publisher’s stats to count full-text downloads.
Are there any
pros and cons? And things to look out for EzProxy log analysis.
Any input is appreciated.
Best regards,
Tze Guek
