Hi Abbigail,

I have set up many patterns at our library and this is one of the variations I don’t think I’ve ever been able to resolve in Alma. I’ve put a receiving note in the PO line indicating to change the year of the Winter issue upon receipt. I’d be interested if anyone else has found a real resolution.

Subject: marc code for quarterly publication

I’m setting up our serials in ALMA for check-in and the system really isn’t friendly to quarterlies that don’t start with spring #1.    This is the code I was using but it wants to make #1 in 2017 and then 2-4 in 2018 even though the due dates are in 2017.

$$a v. $$b no. $$i (year) $$j (season) $$x 24 $$y ps24,21,22,23 $$8 2

What am I doing wrong?  Does anyone have code for a pattern where Winter is #1 and the year is the same through #4?  Example title: Studies in English Literature
