Hello,
I'm a library student conducting research on behalf of a journalist.
I'm looking for specific information about a serial from 1962 entitled 'Art in America' that was published quarterly at that time.
My question is whether it is possible to find out when the first quarter 1962 issue was mailed out and received. Would it be on newsstands and in libraries sometime during December of 1961 or during the first quarter of 1962 and possibly when.
I've already reached out to the publisher of Art in America directly and they have no way of finding out the answer. As I've been told they "are a small operation" and have no librarian or archivist on staff. The editorial and production teams questioned don't know how to find out the answer.
I'm hoping that a library somewhere out there has a sticker or stamp on the cover indicating when the magazine was mailed out, received, and/or processed.
Thank you kindly. Any suggestions would be appreicated.
Thomas
