In mid-September 2016, the OLE Board convened the FOLIO Technical Review Team to perform an independent review of the FOLIO Platform to determine its viability as a library services development platform. The findings of this review, completed in December 2016, informed the OLE Board decision to commit development teams to work in FOLIO. The process that the team took provides an objective review of the platform from the perspective of architecture, development, and operations.

In this forum, members of the Team will discuss their process, analysis, and findings. Additionally, the forum will include discussions with the lead developer from Index Data on progress the development team has made since the report was issued. This forum should be of interest to anyone considering developing in FOLIO. The forum will include opportunities for questions and commentary from attendees.

SPEAKERS

·         Michelle Suranofsky - Lehigh University

·         Chris Manly - Cornell University

·         Jakub Skoczen - Index Data
