Clarion University Libraries seeks applicants for a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track Electronic Access and Serials Librarian
to begin January 2017. Summer work is optional with additional work opportunities available. Position is contingent on the availability of funding.
The position is responsible for providing and overseeing integrated access to serials resources, both electronic and print, including cataloging and database maintenance
activities. Related responsibilities consist of the evaluation and assessment of products and services in relation to serials management, the resolution of access problems, the collection and analysis of usage statistics, and the ability to remain current
about emerging metadata standards and technologies in the management and description of serials in all formats. Additional responsibilities include serving as the library liaison with selected academic departments, participating in the library’s information
literacy instruction program, providing individualized instruction at the reference desk, serving on Library and University committees, and contributing to the profession through scholarly and creative activity. The person in this position reports to the
Dean of Libraries and collaborates with the Department Chair, Coordinators of Technical Services and Reference and Information Services and the Library Systems Administrator to effectively accomplish departmental goals.
