I personally liked it the way it was. There’s no need for T&F to look like a generic Bootstrap site at the expense of functionality. But the average user may not agree.

 

(I have a couple of strong biases – I don’t like it when familiar, perfectly-functioning websites change just for the sake of change, and I have a strong allergy to generic Boostrap. See http://getbootstrap.com/).
