As far as the bound periodicals we contacted our campus Associated Students recycling program and worked with them to recycle the materials.

When we started discussing weeding microform, we contacted our Environmental Health & Safety Office on campus and asked if they knew where we could dispose of the microform and they offered to take care of it for the library. If you have such an office on your campus reach out to them and see if they can help.

Working with the other campus departments also helped with getting buy-in for the weeding project.

Subject: [SERIALST] bound periodicals and microfiche weeding

Hello,

Do you have experience with a major weed of bound periodicals and microfiche? Where did you send your material?  Would you be willing to share with me how your process worked for you?

Thank you,

Robin
