~Excuse cross posting~

A quick reminder that our Altmetric institutional workshop: Unpacking engagement, understanding impact is being held on April 26 (next week!) at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. from 10-4:30pm. Come and go as you need!

REGISTER HERE.

The aim of the day is to explore the latest developments in new research metrics and to facilitate discussion between an engaged group of institutional representatives from university faculties, libraries, communications and research offices.

We’re keen to learn more about how you perceive such metrics, hear how they are (or indeed are not) being used in your institutions, and understand how would potentially like to use such data in future.

Confirmed speakers include:

Andrew White, Associate CIO for Health Sciences, Stony Brook University School of Medicine

Jose De Buerba, Senior Publishing Officer, World Bank

Richard Hulser, Chief Librarian, Natural History Museum LA

Simon Porter, VP Academic Relations and Knowledge Architecture, Digital Science - NEWLY CONFIRMED!

Sessions will cover:

- The role of metrics in HEIs

- Case studies from institutions who have adopted altmetrics into their workflows

- An update on the Altmetric product roadmap, in which we’ll talk about the new features we’re hoping to build this year

- Interactive workshops exploring how you can use altmetrics to reach your institutional goals (bring your laptops!)
