Wichita State University Libraries (http://libraries.wichita.edu) invites applicants for the position of Digital Resources Librarian. This
position is focused on the effective implementation and management of electronic resources and associated access technologies. The Digital Resources Librarian coordinates the population, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the electronic resource management
system. This librarian will also work with the Coordinator of Digital Resources Acquisition in the processing of orders, renewals, vendor contacts, and license management. Success in this position requires that the librarian have a broad understanding of the
principles of digital resources and operations assessment, and the ability to work collegially with diverse members of the university and vendor communities.
Required qualifications: ALA accredited master’s degree; experience/coursework in a library or information management setting with electronic
resources or access technologies; knowledge of trends in electronic resource access; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work successfully in a dynamic collegial environment with diverse populations; and demonstrated potential for meeting
the Libraries’ tenure and promotion requirements.
12-month contract; excellent professional development support, vacation and benefits, including TIAA-CREF. Faculty librarians have tenure-eligible
appointments with rank. Offers of employment are contingent on satisfactory completion of a criminal background check as required by the Kansas Board of Regents.
