Sorry for cross postings.

Hi There,

We will be packing up and sending about 2/3rd of our print serials collection to storage before the end of December 2015.  Once in storage they will live in boxes but be retrievable with a 24-hour turnaround.  We assume the boxes will be barcoded or identifiable in some way.  I am looking for folks to share their experience with this type of project.  How do you identify the stored serials in your catalogue?  Did you “bind” them into the storage boxes?  What was your workflow?  How did you ensure accuracy of the inventory?  Should we take pictures of the serials in the boxes?  Really, any information, tips, trick, tidbits of information you can share will be appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Terri
