Greetings colleagues,
It's hard to believe summer is already here and summer means ALA Annual! Altmetric is hosting focus groups during Friday-Sunday of ALA to discuss research metrics at your institutions. If you're interested in participating, we'd love to hear what you have to say.
Open to any interested academic, medical, or special librarians in town for the conference or otherwise, these focus groups will aim to get an understanding of:
- How your institutions understand "impact"
- What metrics they use to demonstrate impact
- What role the library plays in research metrics reporting
The focus groups will take place in the vicinity of the ALA convention center and will fill on a first-come first-served basis. We will determine how many sessions to have based on interest. Please forward to any colleagues who might be interested.
