Hello,

Our library is about to implement an RFID system in preparation to moving to a new library building.  We have bound periodicals and loose current issues that we do not circulate and are not barcoded.  I have been informed that the only security system for materials will be via RFID tags.

I would love to get feedback from anyone who does not circulate periodicals and are using an RFID system.  Is there a method of using the tags as a security measure, but not tying it to a particular record?

I’m just not sure how all that would work.  Any advice would be appreciated.
