If the publisher is that moronic to change the title every 5 seconds, put it all in one record with a title varies note tracing the title variances. These seem to be subtle title changes at best and shouldn’t warrant new records. Do you really think you are making it easier for your end user by creating record after record for the same publication? I sure don’t…..

Subject: [SERIALST] Need advice on title change

Hi all,

"GMAT ... premier program"  had a title change in 2010 (OCLC#  63813310.)

The new title was "GMAT premier" (OCLC# 671837752) but then it ceased after one ed. and changed to another title "New GMAT premier" (OCLC#

771920400.) However, the title changed back to "GMAT premier"  for the 2015 ed.

What would you do? Would you edit OCLC# 671837752 or create a new record for the same title?

Thank you.
