Weighing in our decision was heavily influenced by the fact PubGet is owned by CCC. And lack of coverage for collections and date ranges of coverage.Chuck Hamaker

Karen,
We didn't use PubGet initially when we came up on WorldCat Local in 2012, but have implemented it since then as a way to keep our KB automatically updated. While I understand your security concern, I think it's largely unfounded. The service works well as far as I am concerned, although it is not comprehensive in the vendors for which it facilitates this service. I wish it was :-)

Subject: [SERIALST] PubGetOur library is in the process of populating our Worldshare Management Services Knowledgebase. We are contemplating whether we should use Pubget to add our data to the knowledgebase. We have concerns especially because in order to do so, you must input your library’s login credentials for all your publishers into an unencrypted system.
Have any of you input your login credentials for your publisher’s sites into PubGet? If so, do you have concerns about security?
If you have used PubGet to populate your WorldCat or Worldshare Management Services knowledge base, we’d like to hear about your experiences.
Feel free to contact me off the list if you prefer.
