Hello Deb,

 

I am fluent in German so I did a little looking around and this is what I discovered:

 

1) The Oldenbourg Verlagsgruppe (Oldenbourg Publishing Group) consists of the

Oldenbourg Wissenschaftsverlag (specializes in the sciences), the  Oldenbourg Schulbuchverlag (specializes in textbooks for secondary schools), the Akademie Verlag (academic focus) and a daughter company of the Oldenbourg Schulbuchverlag called the Bayerischer Schulbuchverlag (Bavarian textbook publisher).

 

2) All are still around, BUT in the beginning of 2013 the Oldenbourg Wissenschaftsverlag and the Akademie-Verlag were bought by Walter de Gruyter.  See these webpages: http://www.degruyter.com/dg/page/556

Dear Serialsters---

 

Does anyone know if Oldenbourg Verlagsgruppe (GmBH) or if they merged? I cannot find an English translation of the Oldenbourg Verlagsgruppe website and I cannot read the German Wikipedia entry about them (my languages are Spanish, French and English).

 

Any assistance appreciated. Thanks in advance!
