Hi,
Is anyone out there with 360 trying to load index/abstract title lists? How are you handling it?
My library transitioned to Serials Solutions 360 this summer. One point of difficulty is that 360 is not natively set up to handle index/abstract resources such as America: History & Life and Historical Abstracts.
Not to mention, all those EBSCO databases that have a mix of full text and just indexing.
I can load title lists, but 360 thinks they are full text and the 360Link results screen shows them as such. Even with lots of notes, this is confusing. Too much verbiage to handle. Also, with a title that is only
indexed and has no full text, you won’t get the “Sorry, no articles found” message.
Two other link resolvers we’ve had in the past could handle indexing. I have at least one librarian who has her heart set on being able to show indexed titles to students, hence my quandary.
Thanks,
