1)  BioOne 2014 Collections Announcement

WASHINGTON, DC—BioOne (www.bioone.org) is honored to welcome
three new titles and their respective not-for-profit publishers
to the 2014 BioOne Collections: Arachnology, published by the
British Arachnological Society; Ardeola, published by the Spanish
Society of Ornithology (SEO/Birdlife); and Herzogia, published by
the Bryological and Lichenological Association for Central Europe.

“We are delighted to publish in partnership with BioOne because
it helps us to further the British Arachnological Society’s
charitable objectives in encouraging interest in the study of
arachnids, and to generate, promote, and disseminate knowledge of
arachnids worldwide,” said Paul Selden, editor of Arachnology.
“Now that Arachnology is available in digital format, we are
pleased to be able to offer it to a far wider audience of
researchers, with easy access through the network of BioOne
subscribers and scholarly institutions around the world.”

In 2014 BioOne will be home to 179 total publications, 132 (74%)
of which are ISI-ranked. More than a third of BioOne’s titles have
their current content available online exclusively through BioOne,
and nearly a quarter are based outside of the US. In addition to
its two subscribed collections, the BioOne OA Collection is home
to thirteen open access publications, freely available to all
users and fully integrated with BioOne’s subscribed titles.

We are pleased to add these new titles and publishers to BioOne,
enhancing the aggregation’s value and reputation as a cost-
effective, critical resource for quality research in the
biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. For
subscription or trial information, please visit the BioOne
website or contact your local BioOne agent.
