Hi All;

Please join ALCTS Continuing Resources Section, Electronic Resources Interest Group (ERIG) in a discussion about text mining on Saturday, January 26th from 1:00-2:30 in the Convention Center Room 204.

If you haven’t heard about it you soon will, Text Mining is becoming a very popular research methodology that our campus communities wish to use with our licensed electronic resources.  Come here both a librarian, vendor and research discuss this topic.

We are very lucky to have Teresa Lee, who is the Electronic Resources and Access Librarian at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver speak about text mining from Librarian point of view.  She is also going to share with us some viewpoints of a researcher.

We are also very lucky to have Ray Abruzzi who the Director of Strategic Planning at Cengage Learning speak about text mining from a vendor prospective.

Come join what is sure to be an interesting and though provoking discussion on this research methodology.
