The Temple University Libraries seek a motivated, energetic individual to serve as

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Acquisitions & Collection Development, the incumbent will:
- Coordinate overall e-resource acquisition and licensing workflow

Assist in negotiating pricing and other licensing terms with vendors
- Maintain accurate information about the Libraries’ e-resources in the e-resource knowledgebase (Serials Solutions) and A-Z database listings
- Configure and maintain vendor platforms and library e-resource tools such as the link resolver (360 Link) and discovery system (Summon)
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving technical problems with licensed e-resources
- Work with Library Technology Services to manage the Ezproxy authentication service
- Cultivate effective relationships with vendors

Oversee the collection of usage statistics and participate in e-resource assessment
- Communicate e-resource news & updates to library staff
- Maintain awareness of trends and best practices in e-resource acquisitions and access
- Participate in library-wide activities or projects through service on library and university committees and working groups; the incumbent will be expected to be active professionally and also expected to meet requirements for contract renewals, promotion, and regular appointment.
- Supervise one full-time staff member
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
ALA accredited MLS and evidence of e-resource management experience in an academic library environment.
Required skills and abilities:
- Experience with electronic library resource management / knowledgebase systems, OpenURL linking technologies, or authentication mechanisms
- Familiarity with e-resource acquisitions and licensing workflow
- Experience configuring, managing, or trouble-shooting web-based library resources
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills and initiative

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience negotiating licensing and pricing terms with publishers and other library vendors

Experience with Serials Solutions access management tools
- Experience managing Ezproxy
- Supervisory experience
Compensation:Competitive salary and benefits package, including relocation allowance. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
