We regret any inconvenience caused by the switch to our new web presence within the past few weeks and thank you for bearing with us so far. Your patience is much appreciated!

In the following you will find the latest news regarding the current state of affairs and the next steps to expect.

Since we launched the platform at the end of December 2011, we have been fixing a great deal of teething problems and are keeping up the hard work to sort out the remaining issues:

•             Redirects from the old to the new platform and stable DOI linking are both working by now. You will find more help and information regarding the state of affairs in our FAQs for librarians.

•             IP authentication especially for proxy IPs is now working correctly. Should this not be the case then please send an e-mail including the problematic IP (and gladly all your current IPs) to service@degruyter.com and we will match and update accordingly or identify the cause for this.

•             Missing content was identified and successfully reintegrated to the platform.

•             One of the most frequent issues that could be observed throughout the platform was the fact that many of our internal links led to the error message "An error has occurred in the application. Please contact support. Thank you for your patience and understanding". There are a number of different reasons for this error, most of which have been identified and solved. We are very sorry to say that at this point in time the message might still occur in a few remaining cases (for more information, please click here).

•             The ‘Institutional Administration’ section on the new platform will be in place in the course of February. We will inform all previous administrators about the relevant details.

Should you experience any further difficulties, please let us know at service@degruyter.com. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. However, please understand that at the moment it might take us a little bit longer than usual to get back to you.

Best Regards,

Steve Fallon
