Yes you can learn to program, even if it’s just quick-and-dirty code to accomplish a basic task that would be tedious to do by hand. I suggest Python which is relatively easy to learn & use, and free to download. A few of us at my library
have learned some basic Python, if only to accomplish text processing that Excel can’t handle well, or for MARC record conversions prior to loading in the catalog. It really saves us a lot of tedious, inefficient work.
