I did a Google search by "economist current issue" and found the print issue page on the Economist website: www.economist.com/printedition .

The direct link to an enlarged view of the cover is at: http://www.economist.com/printedition/covers/2011-12-15/ap-e-eu-la-me-na-uk

and shows Dec. 17, 2011 as the issue date.

Subject: [SERIALST] What issue is this?

Hello,

Today we received in the mail a nice “we’re sorry” note  on a plastic bag from the USPS containing most of the front cover only of what looks like the Economist.  It has our  label  with our address. It does NOT have the date/ vol./no., of course.

Against a black background,  there is a cute picture of a frog, wearing a crown, sitting under mistletoe.  On the top it says “Double Issue.”

If you have already received this issue (of the Economist, or whatever it is) can you let me know what the title is, the date, and the vol. and no. so I can claim it?

Sometimes I have received issues with tears and messed-up pages, but nothing to this extent.

Any advice appreciated.
