Our reading room is monitored and we have signs everywhere asking patrons not to reshelve. We realize that  instructions may not be followed but we feel that the error rate will be low.  We have only been keeping current periodical print stats  for two years.  Our rational is to see if the print is being used at all.  We had many titles where online was available through an aggregator and we were reluctant to cancel the print.  The comparison of online use to print use was astounding and the information was helpful when making our decisions.
