Many thanks all. I use strictly text for my postings. You used to see people who posted lists to Backserv with all sorts of formatting codes in them. Swets has some sort of filter which would strip the codes, rendering the lists an unreadable jumble. For that reason, I did not use anyting but text. Interestingly enough, I never see my postings on SERIALST anymore, either, unless, as in this case, people reply. (I did get the standard receipt from the moderators). Off hand, I cannot recall when I ceased to see them. I do not believe it was contemporary with the adoption of GoogleMail here, however. It was after that.
