Looking for a better way to organize your evaluation of electronic resources?
The electronic resources evaluation process is multi-faceted and includes a
seemingly endless range of resources and tools involving numerous library
staff. If not well managed, the evaluation process can become increasingly
fragmented and inefficient. This Webinar will first review the electronic
resources evaluation process in detail to understand and appreciate the myriad
of details required to prepare for and maintain a valuable evaluation of
electronic resources. Participants will then be shown a solution: A Springshare
LibGuide to organize the evaluation process for electronic resources.
Presenters:
Lenore
England is the Digital Resources Librarian at the University of Maryland
University College. Ms. England has been responsible for electronic resources
management, financial, and procurement matters for the library for nearly 10 years.
She is active in the electronic resources management for the University System
of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions, as Co-Chair of the Electronic
Collections Task Group, and a member of the Maryland Digital Library Content
Working Group. Ms. England holds an MLIS from San Jose State University and an
MBA from George Mason University.
Li Fu is the Digital Services Librarian at the University of Maryland
University College. Ms. Fu manages electronic resources and Web access, answers
technical questions, and performs SFX and MetaLib maintenance for the library.
She is actively involved in the library Website development and infrastructure
changes, as Chair of the Web Committee. Ms. Fu holds MLS and MIS dual degrees
from Indiana University.
