Subject: Nature access problems via proxy
Is anyone hearing reports from patrons at their library about Nature journals pages not loading when they come in through the library’s proxy?
We have only one institution having this issue right now. Two weeks ago, had the same Nature journals issue at another institution, which we discovered had to do with some proxy config on Nature’s side—it self-corrected, and Nature says they never quite figured out what was going on.
I’m about to visit the institution in question, but am rather stymied as to what could be prohibiting the pages to load. Occurs with all types of computers, all types of browsers. The users can’t even get to the table of contents-all they get is a blank page. All other online resources work properly. Because this occurred with Nature journals once before, sounds like a repeat problem.
Wondering if anyone else had experienced this.
Thanks,
Joanne
