1.       We are using CUFTS/GODOT  for open URL. We use III for the ILS and Illiad for ILL.

2.       We have been using eSerials holdings for more than 5 years. We started when we had Serials Solutions for linking and we continued when we moved to CUFTS/GODOT.

3.       That has been a bit nebulous to determine, as we have not been tracking how users get to our E-holdings.

4.       Since we are on manual upload, sometimes OCLC does not pickup and process our files.

5.       The original setup with Serials Solutions was just turning it on in the Client center and ordering it from OCLC. Setup for CUFTS/GODOT was order from OCLC. Get the FTP information. Setup the local procedure for uploading.

6.       Since we are manual upload, creating the file of titles and ISSN’s and FTPing them to OCLC.

7.       We do this once per month. It is tied to our bib record updating.

Subject: [SERIALST] OCLC eSerials Holdings Service Inquiry

Greetings,

We are investigating the possibility of subscribing to OCLC's eSerials Holdings Service. I was wondering if, those of you who have done so, would be willing to answer the following questions:

1. What OpenURL Link Resolver (if any), and ILS and ILL systems do you use?
2. How long have you subscribed to the eSerials Holdings Services?
3. What are the key advantages to subscribing?
4. What are some of the problems you have encountered with the service?
5. What was involved with implementation?
6. What is involved with the ongoing maintenance?
7. At what frequency do you update your holdings?

Thanks in advance!
Christina
