I have not yet broached this subject with our Acquisitions Librarian.  The only issue that we would miss is the "Best Colleges" issue, and they only publish 11 issues now anyway. Part of my hesitation has been the hope that the US News publisher reverses their decision not to work with subscription agencies (as Hallie Hankel mentioned about Newsweek, in an earlier response to this thread).

Of course, we also have online access through both Business Source Premiere and HW Wilson Omnifile Full Text databases.

Perhaps they will when they see the number of libraries choosing not to renew (like us).  It won’t be missed here.

WT Cox says must order direct, too. Maybe the publisher will change their mind in a few months like Newsweek did. J

Their subscription department phone number is 386 447-6326.  The woman I spoke with was helpful about arranging the subscription, but questioned why we would want to go through an agency.  She hadn’t realized how cumbersome it is to deal with publishers individually for each of hundreds of titles!

As for the breakdown in the publisher-jobber arrangement, the people I speak with on both ends don’t really know why it’s now direct only.  It certainly was easier to order via EBSCO.  Are those of you who have been subscribing through other jobbers still able to do so?

Does anyone have the federal ID # and contact info for claiming for this title which is now a “must order direct” title.

Thanks!
Mykie
