LAC seeks a SuDoc Technician for a project with a renowned Federal library in downtown Washington, DC.  This is a full-time contract position for approximately one year, subject to award. 

Responsibilities

Assigns a range of microfiche to each file clerk by indicating the beginning and ending SuDoc classification numbers to be processed. Upon completion of each microfiche box container, the Technician will enter into the database:

 

 

Information required in the database may be modified as the project progresses, based on experience. The technician will update the database with date and initials when additional quality control review of each container is finished. The lead technician will use the database to track work and generate reports and information for invoices and will construct summary holdings statements (holdings record field 866) for each holdings record by entering the first and last SuDoc classification number related to that holdings record.
