Colleagues,
I'm sorry, I can't think of a better
subject line at the moment.
I have in hand two volumes (v. 2 and
v. 4) of Dial (Boston, Mass.). There is no indication that they are
reprints. The dates are 1842 and 1844. The periodical was originally
issued quarterly. However, it appears as if a title page and table
of contents were issued with the last number, so the issues could be bound
together. Was this already being done so early? Or did publishers
reprint issues as one volume at this time? What do I have in hand?
Many thanks for your help.
Michael
