Stevan,
This may say something about the bloggers at Scholarly Kitchen
and the platform (the so-called Society for Scholarly Publishing). I attempted
to post a comment in support of you and stating something to the effect that
you are a necessary antidote to the lobbyists who will seek to dominate the comments
to the OSTP. I also questioned the ratings of your comments – since
there are 8 bloggers who contribute to the site and they each need just one
friend to make the ratings skew any which way. I think I also questioned the
validity of the Society for Scholarly Publishing, since it looks like a
lobbyist group with a disingenuous cover (look at the organizational members).
Needless to say, the 'moderator' of the blog didn't let the comment appear,
although I swear I didn't swear, so I don't think the blogger really cares a
fig for 'alternate views'. They are just trying to label you, so that
they can lobby without opposition.
