Hi Barbara,

No worries - lots of folks aren't familiar with it.  The ISSN-L is often referred to as the "linking ISSN" and will tie print and electronic versions together.  Ideally, all journals will eventually have an ISSN-L included in the bib records to tie the different formats together.

For more information, take a peek at the ISSN network: http://www.issn.org/2-22637-What-is-an-ISSN-L.php

Have a great one,
Sarah

A process to add ISSN-L to existing records has been developed, and we
are working with the Library of Congress to implement it.  We have
completed a few records as part of a test (example #10007380).  We don't
yet know how many per day we will be able to add in coming months.

Now that the ISSN-L subfield is available and indexed in Connexion, what
is the latest news on plans to load the tables into WorldCat?
I've read at different times that OCLC was evaluating or cleaning up the
data, but I'd be interested to know about specific plans and dates. I'm
also curious to know of any other plans that OCLC has for using the
data.

Thanks,

Naun.
