Unfortunately
there is just no way to do OCLC with out doing it separately. Also
depending on your system, and which support software you use, you
probably also will have two local changes.
We
also have Serials Solutions. My list which I send to them
with updates is in an Excel file. I go through the list of items which
are current every three months, see if any are not arriving in checkin
( using claims in Horizon ). I use my list of recent cancellations
and check if titles have stopped. If the checkin pattern needs to be
deleted for ceased items I do that, and add an 866 field for each
format we have ( microfilm, fiche, bound ) in the bibliographic
record. I change the stop date in the Excel file. When finished with
Horizon and Serials Solutions, I take my list of changes and go to OCLC
and update those records.
