Discover Emerald eBook series collections at ACURIL, June 1-5,
Guadeloupe
Boston, MA, May 2009 - Emerald Group Publishing Limited, the
world's leading publisher of management research, is pleased to present its
eBook series collections at the Association of Caribbean University and
Research Libraries (ACURIL) at the Karibea Beach Resort Center, Gosier,
Guadeloupe, June 1-5. Mariam Hasan, Emerald's Vice President, Canada, and Emma
Williams, Account Manager will be on hand at the Emerald stand.
The theme of the conference is 'The framework of libraries within
sustainable development' and Emerald will be highlighting its publications on
sustainability and green construction, as well as hosting a technology update,
on Tuesday June 2 from 12pm-1pm entitled 'eBooks: A sustainable model?
Emerald's two eBook series collections offer international content
from a worldwide author base and new content each year:
* The Business, Management and Economics Collection
includes 65 series titles and offers access to a selection of 380 volumes
covering subjects such as strategy, accounting and finance, organizational
studies and economics.
* The Social Sciences Collection complements and extends
the current Emerald portfolio, with titles in sociology, education and
psychology, adding over 180 volumes across 37 series titles. In addition to the
new collections, the Emerald Insight platform has a new feature allowing users
to search and browse in different collections, including All Content, Journals,
Books, Bibliographical Databases, and Site Pages. Users can browse both journal
and book series content either alphabetically or by subject, and the type of
content is clearly displayed. Rights and permissions to the eBooks content are
available from . Coming soon to the book series content are COUNTER usage
statistics, and Document Outline.
On show will also be the new Emerald Management Xtra Plus
collection of online journals offering online access to up to 200 scholarly
journals and a host of support resources for communities of librarians, deans,
researchers, students and managers. Delegates will also have the opportunity to
find out about Emerald's corporate social responsibility and our ISO 14001:2004
certification following the implementation of a new Environmental Management
System (EMS).
