Riding to the Ends of the Earth

Dear Family, Friends and Gainesville Cyclist,
March 1-6 I will be riding from Ft. Myers to Key West to rescue Thai youth. By
the end of my journey I will have been over 300 miles and 20+ hours sitting on
the bike as well as over 102,000 pedal strokes!!
Each school year, a new group of students (as young as 8 or 9) are sent to
Chiang Mai, Thailand to further their education. Their tribal families want a
better life for them, but unfortunately, most of these youth end up living in
youth hostels/homes which feel like orphanages. Graduation rates are low and
often the youth get caught up in drugs and/or sex trafficking. Chiang Mai has
MORE brothels per capita than any other city in the world.
Jamie and Niw Rattanapamonsook and their two children are serving the local
youth making a real difference. They desire for the teens of Chiang Mai to
have bright futures with hope, purpose and most of all, for them to know Christ.
Would you consider taking one life-changing step with me and support my mission for them on wheels?
To support my ride please go to www.endscycling.com/donate, scroll down to
"Participant" and select my name. All proceeds go to help the youth ministry
efforts of Youth Hope partners Jamie and Niw.
Thank you for taking a step with me and may God bless your generosity!
Your fellow cyclist and Glider,
Shane Powers
