If you are thinking of getting a jersey for yourself or a family member, please email me at bnbbarb@aol.com before Monday.  Short sleeved women's and men's jerseys are still $70, sleeveless women's and men's are $60, and matching gloves are $24.

Women's short sleeved are performance fit, men's are semi-relaxed.  All sleeveless are performance fit.  For performance fit, it's best to order up one size, as these jerseys run small.  Many taller/larger women order men's jerseys.

Since the jerseys first appeared on the scene at GCC's double century weekend in October of 2007, almost 700 have been sold both locally and far away, to Australia, the UK, Israel, and Canada.  A total of $6,050 has been donated directly to ongoing breast cancer research, initially through the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and, in more recent years, to the CSCRB (Collaboration of Scientists for Critical Research in Biomedicine).  The CSCRB is a non-profit started at U.F. for the sole purpose of funding critically-needed research to find more effective therapies for treatment-resistant breast cancers such as "triple negative." On Thursday August 8th, Sara Palmer, Barb Wills and I - as officers of the CSCRB- presented two checks towards this research, being done right here in Gainesville at         UF Health's cancer center.  The first was a check for $15,000 from the proceeds of last October's inaugural Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off, along with a check for $1,150 from the latest pink ribbon jersey proceeds.  A short clip about the presentation as well as the upcoming Pedal-Off appeared on GTN news that night.
