GCC,

The sun is setting too soon to continue our W/F 6:15 rides.

The new ride times are Saturday, leave 7:10 a.m. sharp (ride about two hours), and Monday, leave 3:10 p.m. sharp (ride about 3 - 3.5 hours). The early Sat rides are not designed to steal from the regular GCC rides, they are for people like me who work early on Saturday or have other Sat obligations.

Both rides leave from a new location, Opus Cafe', 1640 W. University Ave, next to Chain Rx bikes.  Neither the shop or cafe is open Saturday that early, so come prepared.

To reiterate, these rides are approximately "Hi-B" level, no drop, development rides for riders with at least twenty or thirty hours of solo riding who want to develop paceline skills, group etiquette and safety, etc . . . When the group is capable and familiar, we sometimes experiment with basic competitive tactics, but we always observe speed limits and re-group after any effort.  These times should carry us through winter.  If enough people show, we'll try to make them official "GCC" rides according to protocol.

Flyers and Gliders are welcome, and will be asked to be pro-active about mentoring and teaching skills to newer riders.
