GCCMail: Santa Fe Century... Huan Dinh 29 Apr 2007 15:50 EDT

May 5th, Saturday, the normal GCC ride will meet at Chevron for the north
ride at 800am and roll out at 815am. I am planning on riding the Santa Fe
century route with a few modifications. I will bypass all that zigzagging
across US 441 at High Springs, and depending on how everybody feels or me, I
will bypass CR18A on the way back. Leaving from Chevron means that it is
about 94-96 miles, and with all the alternatives/modifications, the ride
might just be 90 miles. It will be super slow. I/we will definitely make a
relaxing stop at Watermelon Park, and more than likely stop at Worthington
Springs on the way back(75 mile mark). If anyone wants to stop at Traxler
on the way out, we can do that too.....

All that and I didn't even say anything about who wants to ride. So here is
the deal.....I will do this ride regardless. If you want to join me and
keep me company, AWESOME!!! I would love to have some company. Some of you
already know that I just got back on the bike about 5 weeks ago from an
accident last Sept, but I am doing the Alzheimer charity century on May
12th, so I will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to ride that century. My grandmother
passaway from Alzheimer approx 2.5 yrs ago. Next weekend is the last chance
for me to get some miles in. :) Sorry for the long email. See ya'll next
Saturday I hope.

Huan
