GCCMail: Paris Brest Paris... Huan Dinh 18 Aug 2007 21:46 EDT

This is an email from Andrea Tosilini

Good Morning Gators Cyclists!
Actually: Bon Jeur!
I know that you already out there speeding through
the swamps!
I finally got to Paris (Ed was on the same plane
to ATL)
and I am getting ready to ride Paris-Brest-Paris.
On Monday August 20th at 8pm local time (2pm in
Florida).
This is exciting! PBP is a great cycling event:
the oldest cycling race still held,
Started in 1891!!! These websites have a lot of
information about PBP:
http://www.paris-brest-paris.org/EN/index.php?showpage=11
http://www.randonneurs.bc.ca/pbp/main.html

There are at least two other riders from
Gainesville here:
Jim Wilson on his recumbent and Barb. Plus three
riders from Ocala
Robert Stevens + Danny Stevens + Danny Stevens Jr.
And Tim Bol from Orlando, who did the qualifying
Brevets in Gainesville.
If you would like to check what happens at PBP,
there is a website
That will have updates (probably in French only):
www.parisbrestparis.tv

Also the official website has a way of checking
the status of the ride
Of single riders, my plaque number is 1489
http://www.paris-brest-paris.org/FR/index.php?showpage=64

Hope to have a nice ride.
Will send a picture after I am done!

Ciao!
andrea tosolini
