If you watched 60 Minutes last night, you might have seen a segment on
the homeless situation in the country right now[1].  According to the
show, 1/3rd of all homeless families in America are currently in Florida.

Several families in Florida are in serious need of assistance, and the
GCC can help.  This weekend you probably received an email inviting you
to RSVP for the Winter Party (December 10th), if you plan on attending,
please bring some canned goods for the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank
here in Gainesville.  Last winter we collected over 100 pounds of food
donations for the Food Bank, let's see if we can double or triple it
this year!
