Lee Ross 23 Aug 2010 09:17 EDT
Hello fellow GCC and CSO members. The Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support
Organization (CSO) sponsors a number of events, including the upcoming 8
Hours of Labor bicycle event on September 5th. For event information, visit
the CSO website at http://www.sanfelasco.net/events.shtml. There's still
time to sign up to ride, or consider volunteering. CSO Board member Dave
Baggaley (baggers@xxxxxxx) is coordinating the volunteer effort (see details
below).

<blockquote style="border-left: #5555EE solid 0.2em; margin: 0em; padding-left: 0.85em">Hi everyone,
Its that time of year again & I'm hoping some of you can spend a few hours
of your time, to help out the Friends of San Felasco for the upcoming 8
HOURS OF LABOR mountain bike race which this year will take place on
September 5th.
We're seeking volunteers for the event on Sunday September 5th. Positions
include:
1) Taking donations at the gate (Sunday - 6 am-10:30 am) - This is the
main source of income for the Park & all donations go directly to trail
building & maintenance.
2) Horse marshals (Sunday) 00am-Pam) - sitting at horse trail crossings to
be a traffic coordinator between horses and bikers.
3) Clean-up Crew after the event (6pm-8pm)
We'll set up the volunteers in shifts so that nobody is stuck on the same
job for hours & we'll have a CSO "tent" set up at the Start/Finish so
you'll have a home "base" to put your stuff & so you'll be situated right
at the heart of the action.
Please email me to let me know what position you would like, the time/day
you are available and your cell phone number. emails to: baggers@xxxxxxx
If you're not available for this event, but still want to help out - we'll
also be hosting round 6 of the Florida State Mountain Bike Championship on
November 14th & don't forget the big one.... The 50 mile off road eco-tour
which will be held on January 8th 2011.
Please drop me an email or give me a call if you're available for any of
these events.
