One more note:
There is also going to be a wedding in Micanopy (Andrew Gill & me) on Saturday, May 16th, at the Herlong Mansion.
As we have a vested interest in what's happening in Micanopy on our big day, I wanted to pass on to everyone in GCC that we have been informed, via our (not alway reliable) sources in Micanopy, that most of Cholokka Boulevard will be closed to automobile traffic on Saturday, May 16th.
Therefore, it's advisable to avoid Cholokka Boulevard on the day of the ride, or at least be prepared to avoid bike-pedestrian collisions, because most of the street will be closed to automobile traffic.
That being said, if any of our GCC friends happen to want to chance riding through the chaos in downtown Micanopy and up Cholokka Boulevard sometime after 1:30 p.m., and want to give us a good luck wave or shout-out, well, that would be really nice. Our ceremony will take place on the front steps of the Herlong Mansion, and starts at 2 p.m.
We are, naturally, hoping for beautiful weather, and we wish all of our friends a safe ride!
