GCCMail: Yet another Volunteer opportunity
Gary Greenberg 24 Oct 2009 14:35 EDT
Hi y'all.
This one's kinda long. But please read it. All we need is one affirmative reply.
Is it you?!?!? ;)
Every year, something pops up that makes some of us who do the
behind-the-scenes Festival work shake our heads.
This year, it's the mess with our Rest Stop Supplies and Paper Goods tubs.
I'll leave out the details but here's the bottom line:
We need a volunteer to take ownership of these items.
Said person will be responsible for working directly with the Festival
Aid Director
and the Equipment Director to create a Master load list for each of
those two types
of tubs, cleaning and restocking said tubs, and making sure they're ready to go
before the festival begins.
It's NOT a huge amount of work AND -- here's the really good part --
you can do your
main volunteer portion for the Festival in October or November,
double-check the tubs
just before the event and ride as a Volunteer in the coming event.
You'll have done your part! ;-)
This requires someone who can work independently and transport 10
medium size tubs:
5 at 30" X 16" X 16" each and 5 at 24" X 16" X 16" each.
I have a plan which could make double-checking the tubs as fast as a
5-minute job.
If you would like to take on an important role that's got some leeway
with respect
to when the work is done AND you're anal-retentive when it comes to seeing the
details done, please give me a holler.
I'd like someone who's willing to take on this responsibility
immediately following this
year's Festival and to stick with it for a couple of years at least.
Thanks,
Gary
Festival Aid Director
