we return from our ride Saturday.

*This week’s ride info:
*Mike is going to be on a ride in Jacksonville on Saturday so I am posting
for Saturday and I'd like to include the MSTeam Gainesville group as well, I
hope you will come out and ride with us, it looks like it will be a
beautiful day.

My thoughts are to give us some options, I'd like to do the Newberry Ride
(48.9 miles). However, the 44.5 mile route may be discussed at the Newberry
store when we stop there - who knows, we may prefer to do the shorter route
depending on how the first part goes.

**Day*: Saturday, February 26, 2011
**Time*: 9:00 am meeting, 9:15 am departure
**Meeting Place*: Chevron NW 43rd St & 53rd Ave.
**Route and Mileage*: Newberry Ride, Distance: 48.9, 44.5 miles

**Note*: I am open to a suggestion for lunch after the ride if anyone has
any. Just email me at mrs.joweaver@xxxxxxxxx

**Pace*: The HighBees ride pace has typically been about 16-17 MPH; however,
lately the group’s pace has been picking up some. On the last ride the
average speed of 17.2 MPH and the cruising speed seemed to vary from time to
time in the 18-19 range and sometimes in the 21-23 range. Riders who were
comfortable with the previous pace should be fine in the middle of the pack
staying in the draft and don’t need to take a turn pulling. This remains a
friendly, no drop ride; and we slow down if we’re gapping and we re-group at
all turns when needed.

****If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate
pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.
Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC
members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with
the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to
be a member.*
