GCCMail: EZ Riders on the Nature Coast Trail This Saturday 7 November
George Edwards 03 Nov 2009 13:19 EST
Dear Friends:
The EZ Riders will attack the Nature Coast Trail this Saturday 7
November, departing the Trenton old train station at the trailhead at
9:00 AM, and returning there by Noon for lunch at the quilt shop.
Probably going as far as Old Town and Fanning Springs, but that will be
up to the majority. Faster riders can always go on ahead, and catch us
up for lunch.
This is a flat, smoothly paved trail with many wildflowers and an
interesting old railroad bridge over the Suwanee River. Easy pace,
frequent stops, suitable for beginners and children. We leave no one
behind.
To reach the Trenton Trailhead go West on Newberry Road (SR 26) through
Newberry. Turn Right (North) at the traffic light in Trenton. In a
couple of blocks you will see the old train station on your Left. Our
yellow Ford truck will be parked there. From the middle of Gainesville
it takes about 30+ minutes.
Bring water, sunscreen, whatever. Call with any questions. 333.3184.
Cheers,
George
