GCCMail: SUNRISE GLIDER RIDE - Sunday, August 13th
Michael D. Wohl 10 Aug 2006 11:37 EDT
Since Jonathan will be out for the next three weeks, this may give us an
opportunity to SLOW DOWN a little bit. After getting back on the bike from
a several month hiatus, a 40 mile ride (50 if you count getting to and from
the starting point) at 19.7 mph was not as fun as I remember...ouch!!!
Thanks to all the riders last Sunday who stuck it out with me, especially
Vicki and Tony's stunt double (sorry, I forgot your name).
Either way, come out and help me celebrate 13 happy years of marriage by
riding the SUNSET RIDE Sunday, August 13th. (Isn't it great, I remain happy
by getting out on my bike, away from... just kidding honey...)
*SUNRISE RIDE*
SUNDAY, AUGUST 13 - meet at 6:50 a.m. for a 7 a.m. SHARP departure (we
really do leave at 7:00 a.m.)
*Where:* Chevron Station NW 53rd and 43rd
*Distance:* Aproximatley 38.5 miles
*Pace: * 18-19mph
This is really a fantastic ride and becomes really spiritual watching the
sunrise as we pass the dairy farm. Truly an incredible site...not really a
pleasant smell, but a remarkable site. Come join us!
Mike
