GCCMail: Dog warning in the NW
Jonathan Jones 14 Apr 2008 11:13 EDT
Hi everyone, I thought any riders who ride the NorthWest would benefit
from hearing this.
There is a dog that is often out on the front yard on the west side of
CR239 about a mile south of 236. He always runs full tilt towards our
ride on Sunday mornings, but so far has stopped completely at the edge
of his property. At first, this caused panic in our ride and there was
nearly a crash. But we have now passed this dog several times and he
seems to know to stop at the edge of his yard.
This is not to say that he won't ever run into a ride pack, but in all
probability you don't have to worry about this dog, and there is
probably no need to hit the brakes, sprint, grab water bottles or things
like that (which of course all increase the chances of a crash in a
pack). Just keep riding status quo by his house.
Thanks!
Jonathan
